Sponge
Don't think I'm a freak, but I have been craving sponges lately. My mouth watered as I passed the shelves on the cleaning aisle. I just wanted to bite it, chew it, soak it and suck the water out. I know...so wierd! After over a week, I finally broke down, confessed to my husband that I really wanted a sponge and why, so we went to Safeway specifically for sponges. I was smart about it, I boiled the sponges in water and then chewed to my hearts content. Don't worry, I didn't swallow...I just wanted to chew it.
I googled "craving sponges" and underneath it already had a "craving sponges during pregnancy". Apparently thousands of women also crave sponges while pregnant. I don't feel so wierd anymore. :)

It's Official: Bubba is a Toddler
*My dad with Bubba on his head*
After many complaints that I need to put current pictures of Bubba up, here you go. In the last month, he has grown officially from baby to toddler. I want to cry admitting it, but at the same time he has become even more fun! This summer has been the best because I'm experiencing everything as a kid again. We went camping and got super dirty (especially Bubba). He kept picking up mounds of dirt and putting it on his head! I about had a melt down and had to remind myself, that he is a boy and we are camping. It's okay.
My family came to visit from Oklahoma and Bubba had so much fun with them. My parents haven't seen him since he was 3 months old, so it's been fun to see the grandparents in action. That's my dad with the Bub on his head.
I started back at my old job. I love it! I get to bring Bubba with me, and it's just like an all day play date with Isaac-3 and Kathryn-18 months. They are seriously the best kids and they all have so much fun together.
The pregnancy is going well. Baby boy #2 who is still nameless is getting bigger and stronger. I promise to have baby bump pictures up next time, which will hopefully be soon. With only three months to go, I'm getting so excited to have him join our family. We'll say to Bubba, "Give baby brother a kiss," and he very excitedly runs over and kisses my belly. It's so cute, though I don't think he actually gets that there's a baby yet. He'll know soon enough, soon enough.

Photo Shoot

We had photos done on Friday, just in time for Father's Day. My friend Monica took them for us and I was really impressed with the results. Bubba was so fussy all day, I figured he would be a nightmare by the time we left for the shoot. Thankfully, Monica is a mother herself and has lots of experience with kids. He didn't cry once! Monica is super creative and so good at capturing those candid shots; the moments that pass you by so quickly as parents. If you want to see more of Monica's work go here.

Lauren
This is my sister Lauren. She is 18. She is unusually hyper. Doctors call it ADHD. She will be coming to visit in one week. I will have her as my slave for over a month. She will sleep in Bubba's room and cater to his every whim. Just kidding. I'm not that cruel. But she is sleeping in his room, and she will have to help out especially when I have my surgery. (yay) But seriously, it will be fun to have another girl to balance out my testosterone filled home.
We can do make-up, paint fingernails and furniture (because that's my latest obsession). We can re-upholster sofa pillows and much, much more. Girl, you're going to work. ;)
P.S. Here's an updated pic of me and Bubba. I haven't been so good about putting pics of him up here, and he is, after all, the main reason I blog.

Moved (long sigh of relief)
In addition to being downstairs, there are many positives:
- Huge kitchen
- Two bedrooms
- Storage shed
- Way nicer neighborhood
- Chocolate brown accent walls
What I am not so excited about:
- We have bachelors upstairs who party hard. There were about 30+ people trampling above us and bumping gangsta rap until the wee hours.
- Even worse, we have bugs. Freaking bugs. I hate bugs. I saw five in the kitchen. And then I cried. Anthony and roll of paper towels soon became my knight in shining armor.
Pictures are to come, once we are settled and Martha Stewart worthy. Which will hopefully be like tomorrow.

Blue News
He looks just like Bubba did only longer. This kid is gonna be tall. He has huge feet. And we have no names picked out. I'm excited to have two little boys. They'll only be one grade apart and they can be best buds and play sports together. I'm also happy to report, I'm further along than the docs originally thought. Turns out I'm due at the end of October instead of mid- November which is what I thought all along. I didn't think I should be this fat already. Now I feel better.
We are moving in two days. Hooray for more space!
