March Already

Neither of our computers are working right now so I'm putting up a quick post from work. Here's the update--

Landon will be 2 years old next month!
He is definitely acting 2 as well. He is in the lovely fit throwing stage which is oh, so fun for me. But he's also really growing up. Tear tear. He has started potty training, which is exciting. He is obsessed with basketball. Some kids have a security blanket, or teddy bear or whatever. Landon has balls. He brings at least one ball everywhere he goes. Not kidding. He holds a ball while on the toilet, in the stroller on walks...we cannot leave the house without a ball! I keep one in my diaper bag and one in the car at all times.

Harper is seriously huge. At four months he is the sweetest, most mellow baby. He giggles at everything. I fell off the chair during dinner last night and he was cracking up. Don't worry I'm okay.

What's a post without a pic? Here's Landon at about 3 1/2 months.
BTW, I'm the Relief Society newsletter editor, but to keep up with the times and save on paper I started a blog. Check it out. Tell me what you think. Thanks.

Need Valentine Ideas?

Here's some ideas for a happy husband this year:

Pics of you. Think sultry. Think vintage. Think classy. Don't wear anything you would be embarrassed for the photo developer to see. Monica Jane did mine. She's super artsy, makes it so fun, and even managed to disguise my fat arms.

Make his favorite cookies and add a cup of valentine m&ms.

I saw this magnet in San Fran last weekend. It would be easy to make. The front says yes, the back says no, and the side says maybe. I think it's so cheesey and funny.

And Ladies, last but not least, be careful. Unless you want one of these; the result of us celebrating Valentine's Day last year.

Don't you just love those cheeks?

3 months

Harper David is officially three months old as of yesterday. He is now talking to anyone who will listen, rolling over unexpectedly, disliking tummy time, smiling more, giggling more, and getting the hiccups every time he giggles. He loves to snuggle which, ofcourse, I love!

Landon is in this phase where he thinks that if he can't see you, you can't see him. I told him to stop putting little toys on his brother, so he closed his eyes and put more toys on him. Oh, man he cracks me up.

Devastated

This is how I felt last night when a virus deleted all the files on my laptop including my wedding photos and babies' pictures. Thousands of them. Basically the last 3 years of my life--gone. I am devastated. I'm thankful that I have my blog so I at least have a few memories saved. But I'm still sad.

Too bad it's not age appropriate for me to throw a temper tantrum and pound my head against the back of the couch. But Landon seems to enjoy doing that.

Hair Color

As the daughter of a cosmetologist, I have always experimented with different hairstyles and hair colors. I look back and laugh as I realize that I was kind of just a lab rat for my mom. I was 10 years old when she "permed" my hair. I cried the whole time because the smell was so bad. Then my once long and shiny hair turned into one giant poof, no curls at all. I swore I'd never go to school again.

In the seventh grade I thought it would be cool to put streaks of color in my bangs, but my ultra conservative parents would never go for that. So being the genius that I am, I put food coloring in strips of my bangs before school in the morning. Worked out great until gym class when blue sweat started dripping down my face.

So over the years, I've had blonde hair, brown hair, black hair, and blue hair. The color I never wanted was...

Red.
But here I am. What do you think?

Blah Blah Blah

One of my favorites by Monica Jane. She's doing family portraits for us soon, so on Saturday we went to find locations. Who knew there could be such eclectic places to shoot in Stockton? I can't wait to show you what she comes up with.

In other news, I'm getting a double jogger soon! I can't wait to start running again (hopefully, I won't collapse from exhaustion). I'm just hoping it won't be too cold for the babies, but that's what hats/footsie pajamas/blankets/mittens/more blankets are for right?

Anthony's basketball team is doing better than ever this year. It's been fun to take the boys, but Landon always tries to run across the court to Daddy during the games. The ref fouled Landon for "being too cute". I'm so glad someone had a sense of humor about it.

Big Boys

Sorry, I haven't been a very diligent blogger lately. I feel guilty that I was able to post all the time about Landon and haven't had as much time to write about Harper. It's not quite as easy juggling two babies.

Harper is catching up to Landon quick. At his 9 week check up, he was 14.7 lbs and 24 inches, which puts him in the 95th percentile for both wieght and hieght. He's so chunky and I love it.

He's smiling a lot more now, and he absolutely loves Landon. As soon as Landon gets near him he starts smiling and talking. I hope they're always this happy with eachother, but then Harper can't take toys away from Landon yet, so I won't push my luck.

Huge.

Harper and cousin Miles. He's so tiny and adorable.

So serious. Seriously.

I think he's starting to look more and more like Landon.

My one year old looks like he's about to go to kindergarten.
