Harper Birthday to You (Almost)

‎"The tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly... Find joy in the journey-- now." -President Thomas S. Monson

Harper is going to be
one in less than two weeks. It goes by so much faster with the second baby. I feel guilty that I had time to blog about Landon like once a week as a baby, and poor Harper hasn't had nearly as many posts or pictures.

I can't believe I survived almost a whole year with two boys. These two babies are crazy active. If you don't believe me, come take a look at my living room right now. Landon is stuck inside a toy bucket and laughing his head off. Harper is trying to join him in the bucket, but was denied, so he's bawling. Now, walking to Momma, now biting my shoulder as I type. Ouch. Seriously.

Really though, Harper has been such a fun baby (except those first couple of months when he stayed awake until 3 am every morning). That was not fun. That was torture. Literally.

Harp is so squishy and snuggly. I love when I scoop him up, and he gives me a squeeze while resting his sweet little head on my shoulder.I could just eat him up. He's pretty laid back, but lately he insists I carry him on my hip like a king all day. Sunday morning I had him in one arm and I blow dried my hair with the other. Did I mention he's at least 25 pounds?

His favorite foods are bananas, cream of wheat, jello, corn, applesauce, and cheese. I think his proudest moment was pulling Landon to the floor by his hair and pinning him on the ground for a good five minutes. It was a long time coming.
