i just need to vent and it's my blog so i can do that

For the last 2 1/2 months, I've been working out every single day (okay, not Sundays) but six days a week for an hour to two hours at  a time and have not lost one. single. pound.

I've actually gained four.

Here's what I do:
plyometrics, power sculpt, cycling, weight lifting, step n' sculpt, and I run to and from the gym pushing a double jogger.
annoying.
Shouldn't I be losing weight by now?
I'm starting to think it was a blessing that I burned 2 out of 3 batches of these chocolate chip cookies.

But seriously, if you remember to take them out after ten minutes, they are simply perfection.

And a very special thanks to my smart, funny, crazy babies
for coming into our lives and making me a mommy.
I love them so much, my heart could burst!

Happy Mother's Day to all!

P.S. Anthony took Landon to get me a present yesterday.
He suggested a yellow toy car, a red toy car, and Spiderman toys.

terrible twos x2

This little boy has it in for me.
My "sweet" and "mellow" Harper is now 18 months,
and I fear he's hitting the terrible twos a bit early.
I'm sad.
But hopeful...
since Landon turned three a few weeks ago, maybe he'll be out of the terrible twos now.
Oh, and this is him eating a booger.
Quit gagging,
you know you ate yours, too.

mother goose is pretty amazing

Remember this post?
Well, those same two baby geese are now practically teenagers, and it's only been a few weeks!
It's kind of sad to see them grow up so fast.
 *sigh*
But,
look what Spring has brought us again,
new baby geese!
Seven of them, I tell you.
Seven!
They were so cute trying to snuggle up under Mother Goose during a ferociously windy day.
I thought to myself she's got her hands full (or wings, rather).
How does she keep track of them all?
Soon after, I got a little taste of what it was like to take care of a large bunch of little ones.
I had two girls about the same ages as my  boys from Friday to Sunday, the whole weekend!
It was crazy, but we had a blast.
And having girls around to dress up and play with was the funnest!
*a very special thanks to Aunt Cindy and Uncle Greg for setting up these pools.

P.S. Please, continue to keep six year old Jacob Wells' family in your prayers. It's been a little over a week since he passed away, and I cannot imagine how they must be feeling. Here's the article written about Sweet Jacob in our local newspaper.
